Things we already know about in the current beta. Please check here before you report a bug: if your problem is listed, there's no need to send it again.
Bugs found during the beta are listed, with status and workarounds, in the live list. The items below cover installation and setup.
Installation
macOS says it can't verify the developer, or that the installer is damaged
The beta isn't notarised by Apple yet. Allow it once in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway, or use the Terminal command on the Install page.
The DAW doesn't list Hexamorph after installing
Rescan plugins or restart the DAW. On a Mac, if it's still missing, clear the quarantine flag on the installed files (commands on the Install page). On Windows, check that Hexamorph.vst3 is in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\ and that you unblocked the zip before unpacking.
Windows: "Windows protected your PC"
SmartScreen shows this for apps that aren't signed yet. Click More info → Run anyway.
Licence
Noise every minute or so
The plugin has no valid key: it wasn't entered, it expired, or the build itself expired (builds and keys run 45 days). Open the project menu → HELP → About Hexamorph... to see which. A new build and key come by email before the old ones end.
Inputs and sidechain
IN C / IN D are missing on the RSRC page
They appear only when your DAW sends a second stereo input to the plugin (Reaper, FL Studio), or after a signal arrives on it. In Ableton and Logic use IN A/B with the plugin's sidechain input.
"NO INPUT" on the MACH page
The selected input has been silent for 1.5 s. Check the sidechain routing in your DAW. In some DAWs the sidechain arrives on C/D; the plugin tells you when that happens.
Performance
One instance per project
Hexamorph is built as one big performance instrument, with 16 tracks inside. Use a single instance and route its outputs, rather than several instances.
Reporting
Use the project menu → HELP → Report a bug.... It fills in your version, DAW and system for you. If the plugin won't open at all, write to [email protected]; for a crash on a Mac, attach the .ips file from Console → Crash Reports; on Windows and Linux, your DAW's crash log if it wrote one.
